CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern
All the applicants must be aware of the CTET Phase 1 and 2 syllabus of this examination and start your preparations according to the syllabus. Therefore, Start your preparation by referring the below section which contains main topics of the syllabus.
As all of you know that there are two papers that are paper 1 and paper 2 in Central Teacher Eligibility Test.
The first paper is for the teachers of primary stage that is classes 1st to 5th and second paper is for elementary teachers that is classes 6th to 8th.
CTET Syllabus – Paper I
For Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage:-
- Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Mathematics – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Language 1 – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Language 2 – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Environmental Studies – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
In this paper, Total 150 Questions and 150 Marks.
All questions in CTET Phase-1 will be Multiple Choice Questions.
Questions will be in Hindi/English Languages.
The CTET Paper-I Exam Duration is 2:30 Hrs.
There is No Negative Marking system.
Eligibility for Primary Stage (I to V classes):
- Should pass 10+2 and Diploma with at least 50%.
- The Candidate who belonged to reserved category should have 45%.
- The students who are in final year of D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed can also apply for CTET exam.
Syllabus of CTET Exam – Paper II
For Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:-
- Child Development & Pedagogy – 30 Questions (30 Marks) –
- Language 1 – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Language 2 – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Science & Mathematics – 60 Questions (60 Marks)
- Social Science – 60 Questions (60 Marks)
CTET Paper-II is for Total of 210 Marks.
All questions in CTET Phase-2 will be Multiple Choice Questions.
Questions will be in Hindi/English Languages.
Each question carries One Mark.
The CTET Paper-II Exam Duration is 2:30 Hrs.
There is No Negative Marking.
Eligibility for Secondary Stage (VI to VIII classes):
- Should have a graduation in Degree or its equivalent stream with 50%
- The applicants under the reserved category should have at least 45%
